Lally Pipe & Tube offers comprehensive Custom Fabrication Support, a full suite of value-added processing services that transform standard tubular stock into job-ready products, manufactured to precise customer specifications. Whether your project demands unique lengths, custom end treatments, specialty coatings, or certified weld attachments, Lally’s fabrication capabilities eliminate the need for secondary processors and reduce total project lead time.
Lally produces material to exact project lengths using mechanical torch, high-speed plasma, and precision saw cutting. Available end conditions include square, miter, and beveled. Bundling service is available for small-diameter material.
Custom angle beveling is performed via mechanical torch, high-speed plasma, and high-speed machine methods. Standard 30-degree bevels and custom angles are available to satisfy weld preparation requirements per project drawings and specifications.
For projects requiring specific lengths that can be welded, Lally’s certified welders produce spliced assemblies in accordance with AWS D1.1. Documented welding procedures and experience with both non-alloy and alloy materials make this service suitable for structural applications.
CNC threading is available through4-1/2″ O.D. to 20″ O.D. Full-length drift testing and hydrotesting are performed in-house. Threading lines are configured for rapid changeover, supported by a large on-hand coupling inventory. OCTG and water well casing applications are a specialty.
Lally fabricates and attaches conical points, end plates, tapered friction pile ends, and splicer sleeves. All weld attachments are performed by certified welders per AWS D1.1, with ultrasonic testing available and a large inventory of backing rings and attachment hardware maintained in stock.
Custom end configurations are produced per customer-supplied drawings, including precision saw miter cuts, specialty weld applications, and I.D. and O.D. weld bands for large-diameter trenchless casing pipe.
Lally provides a full range of O.D. coating and surface treatment options, including black mill coating, shop primers, coal tar epoxy, marine grade epoxy, fusion bond, galvanizing, sandblasting, and Wheelabrating (shot blasting).
With full-service yards in Kentucky, Ohio, Texas, Alabama, and Arkansas with over 90 years of tubular processing experience, Lally delivers fabricated products on compressed schedules without sacrificing specification compliance. Our in-house capabilities across cutting, welding, threading, coating, and testing mean your order moves through a single, accountable supply chain from stock to job-ready, under one roof.
Other Services We Offer
Job-ready means the pipe arrives at your site with all specified processing complete: cut to length, beveled, threaded, welded, coated, and/or fitted with attachments. This applies across our full range of steel pipe products, from structural steel pipe and secondary steel pipe to surplus steel pipe and casing pipe. No secondary processing is required, which eliminates the need for multiple vendors and reduces project lead time significantly.
Yes. That’s the core value of custom fabrication support. Our facility coordinates cutting, steel pipe beveling and splicing, CNC pipe threading, welding, coating, and attachment services in a single integrated workflow. This reduces touch points, minimizes handling damage, and gets material to your job site faster.
Yes. We produce cut-to-length steel pipe for a range of applications, including steel pipe piling, pipe columns, and steel pipe bollards. Whether your project requires precise structural steel pipe lengths or custom end plate attachments, our fabrication team works from your drawings to deliver job-ready material.
Contact our sales team with your project drawings, bill of materials, or specification sheet.
